Welcome last update-6 August 2012
The Fourt of July Parade went well. Our Post entered a great float depecting the new Memorial on the War on Terrorism. We had two fund raising events in July. The first was a golf tourney that raised over 500.00 for the Memorial Commander Sara Lansing did a super job and Tom J did a great job with the cookout. We had a two day fund raiser at the entrance to the Town Transfer station. Committee Chairman Tom Janczewski, Adjt Mario DiMascio, Chaplin Hank Reynolds and Sgt at arms Tony Binsfield raised 2920.00 during the two days. We also got 3 new member and two transfers. These guys passed out 700 flyers and gave out over 200 flags and 400 legion pens. These two fund raisers put us over the half way point in total funds raised, we are now at 11,000.00. Nice job guys. Guess what the New War on Terrorism Memorial is in and has been built. Thanks to Tom Janczewski, Tony Binsfield, Frank Trippi and a host of others the foundations were formed and poured and Swenson Granite delivered the Monumes 6 weeks earlier than expected. It looks great. It is covered and can only be seen by asking Sara Lansings permission.
